He is a seasoned executive with over 15 years of Services Management experience in both the Mobile Telco and Retail Banking industries in Argentina. Throughout his career, he has served in various different business areas, such as Product Delivery, Pricing and Revenue Assurance, Consumer Marketing and as the Affluent Segment Manager prior to his last position as Head of Digital in Banco Galicia.

Emiliano has a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and Universidad Austral.

Mariano Chiavetti is currently the Manager of Digital Transformation at Banco Macro, one of the leading banks in Argentina. He is responsible for the development of new business and technology solutions, bringing to life customer experience (CX)-driven solutions through co-creation and software development processes utilizing agile methodologies (Design Thinking & Scrum). In his previous role, he served as Banco Macro’s Innovation Manager.

Mariano has more than 25 years of experience in the financial sector, always leading transformation projects from different organizational spheres, focusing on time-to-market as an essential pillar, developing new "ways of doing things" and contributing to the Strategic definition of Digital Banking, Payments Methods and Alliances with Fintechs. Prior to joining Banco Macro he has held positions in HSBC Bank (Solutions Architect), Banca Nazionale del Lavoro (Software Development Leader), Juncal Compañía de Seguros (Software Development Leader) among other entities.

He is a Systems Professional, Project Management Professional (PMI), Service Design Specialist (ITIL) and has Postgraduate studies in Project Management from The George Washington University.

Marisa is the Main Manager of Transformation, Efficiency and Quality of Santander Rio. She joined the Bank in 1997, working as Project Leader in Individual Digital Channels. In 2003 he held the post of Deputy Manager in Digital Channels individuals. A year later he became a Manager of the same area. He was also Systems and Process Manager. In April 2011 she was appointed Departmental Manager of Transformation, Efficiency and Quality. In February of 2014 she was appointed Main Manager of this are up to this date.

Marisa is a Public Accountant and holds a degree in Business Administration. She holds a Master's degree in Marketing, awarded by the University of San Andrés.


Meet Guillermo Francos

Guillermo Francos

Guillermo is the CEO of the first digital bank authorized to operate in Argentina, Wanap.

Throughout his successful career, Guillermo has served in various roles as Former President of Banco Provincia where he was a big promoter and supporter of lending to SMEs. He was a Congressman between 1998 and 2002 and held distinguished positions in the private sector.

Guillermo holds a Law degree from The University of El Salvador.

Luca is currently the Director of Bradesco Dia & Noite, a department that includes all the Bank's Digital Channels, such as Internet, Mobile, Self Service and Call Centers. For the previous six years, he served as the Marketing Director of Bradesco, one of the largest private banks in the Brazil and the only company in the Brazilian financial sector that ranks among the 10 most valuable brands in the world.

He has over 30 years of banking experience, having worked at Banco Econômico and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, of the Spanish BBVA Group. He is a member of the Board of ESPM and Vice-President of ABA - Brazilian Advertisers Association. He was elected Marketing Professional of the Year at the 2006 Caboré Awards and also received the MMonline / MSN Award for his work as a Professional Online Marketing. Luca is a graduate in Economic Sciences, with a degree in statistics and an MBA.

Ricardo has been Executive Director at Itaú Unibanco since 2015. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He started his career in Itaú in 1993, assuming different roles within the institution, including Channels Director, Personal Loans Superintendent among others.

Ricardo holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from the Escola Politécnica da USP, Bachelor of Business Administration from School of Economics, Business and Accounting from the University of Sao Paulo. He also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Nadeen currently serves as the Chief Digital and Marketing Officer for the NCB Group and the CEO of the NCB Foundation. Nadeen is Jamaica’s first Chief Digital Officer and leads NCB’s shift to leveraging digital technology to improve the customers’ experiences, increase efficiency and agility and create new revenue models, propelling the organization to the leading position in Jamaica and a top ten position in the English and Spanish speaking Caribbean.

As a results-oriented, creative Strategy and Marketing executive, the Wharton School graduate has served as Assistant Vice-President at JPMorgan Chase and Senior Associate at the international management consultancy firm McKinsey & Company. Nadeen was recently selected as the sole representative of the English and Spanish-speaking Caribbean in the 2017 World Economic Forum’s cohort of Young Global Leaders (YGL). Nadeen is also Co-Creator and Executive Producer of the hit business reality TV program NCB Capital Quest, which features small and medium enterprises competing for the opportunity to access an equity investment of up to $50M.

Sebastián currently serves as BCI Bank’s Head of Innovation where he leads the bank’s Fintech Ecosystem development, Customer Travel digitization as well as the creation of new Mobile Platform and ventures to disrupt the financial industry. He also leads BCI Labs, a StartUp accelerator focused on developing fintech companies, which through 2017 has graduated more than 30 companies. The program, which invests up to US$50,000 in each proof of concept, is focused on developing and accelerating solutions that positively impact the bank’s clients and transforming them into viable, self-sustaining entities.

Previously, Sebastian earned a postgraduate degree at MIT through a scholarship from the Fulbright Commission and the Gordon-MIT Engineering Leadership program. He was recruited and served 5 years in Google’s Cloud Platform team in Silicon Valley.

Daniel currently serves as the Vice President for Digital Banking at Scotiabank Chile.  He has been with Scotiabank since 2004, and has held increasingly senior roles in the organization, including Mergers and Integrations (in Peru, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Chile and Puerto Rico) as well as running different areas of the retail banking business. Previously, Daniel was the Director of Customer Experience for Scotiabank Chile, where he oversaw the sales and service disciplines throughout the network, client satisfaction and digital innovation and transformation. 

Daniel earned an International MBA from York University and has lived in Pakistan, Guatemala, Bangladesh, Indonesia, the United States, Canada and Chile.

Throughout his illustrious career, Juan Carlos has served in various roles at Bancolombia, including positions as the Vice President of Corporate Innovation & Digital Transformation, Vice-President of Risks at Leasing Bancolombia Compañía de Financiamiento Comercial and Vice-President of Technology Management & Innovation since among others.

Juan Carlos holds a B.A. degree from EAFIT University and an MBA degree from Babson College.


Meet Bernardo Alba

Bernardo is Vice President of Technology at Davivienda where he is responsible for leading the bank’s strategic Technology and digital transformation plans while formulating, evaluating and implementing various innovation projects. He also leads the IT Team’s research and innovation efforts, leading the effort to create new technology-driven business lines.

Previously, he served as the Executive Assistant of Technology and was an External Consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank. He has 23 years of experience in the information technology and Internet sectors, logistics, efficiency and value network management.

He has excelled as a professional in new technologies in companies such as Oracle Colombia, GS1 COLOMBIA. He is a Systems Engineer with emphasis in telecommunications, and holds an MBA with specializations in Technology Management, Marketing, Management Development, and Finance.

Bernardo is an active user of the global groups of the Global Standard Management Process and Global Data Synchronization Network. He was one of the nine global members of the GS1 Global Mobile Trading Steering Committee.

He cis currently he is President of the Colpatria Bank, part of the Scotiabank Group.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of Mineros S.A., Credibanco, Asobancaria, Titularizadora Colombiana S.A., Deceval, Unipalma, Colegio de Estudios de Administración (Cesa), Operación Sonrisa, and Director of Scotiabank- Perú.

Santiago holds a bachelor degree on Business Administration from CESA.

She is the leader of channels and business transformation initiatives in APAP that seek to optimize consumer experience, payments, accessibility, commerce, and everyday financial services decision-making. She is also responsible for new digital products and is the cross-functional team leader focused on mobile, online, ATMs, Call Center, Social Media and Conversational banking solutions, delivering revenue growth while managing the risk/reward equation and improving customer loyalty. She was the creator of the First Chat and Videoconferencing channel for financial services in the Dominican Republic and the first App for financial services customers focused on Financial Wellness and personal finance management.

Icelsa holds an Industrial Engineer Degree from Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo, and Master of Business Administration from Université du Québec a Montréal.

Monica has been the National Manager at Diners Club of Ecuador since 1998. She has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. Her mission is to convert Diners into a digital company that offers an extraordinary user experience (UX) through the utilization of advanced analytics.

Monica has proven expertise in technology, hardware, software, architecture, CRM and security as well as in applying methodology to processes that impact the bottom line such as scrum, agile and design thinking. Omnichannel and multi-channel are also part of her core expertise.

Previously to joining Diners, she served as general auditor at Banco Rumiñahui (1997), was Deputy Director of Accounting of the Central Bank of Ecuador (1993), and General Auditor at Banco de Los Andes (1991). Monica holds a MBA in Strategic Control and Advanced Finance from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Ecuador and a Degree in Management Information Systems and Audit Systems from the Price Waterhouse Kellogg School of Management from Northwestern University.

Previously, he was the Chief Innovation Officer for BBVA Group (Spain). Throughout his career, he has been in charge of business units like Capital Markets, Institutional Investments, e-Business, Alternate Channels, Innovation and Business Development, allowing him to create a transversal vision of Banking in the digital age.

Tiago joined Citibanamex in 2016 as Chief Technology Officer and in May 2017 he was appointed Head of Technology. His responsibility includes Infrastructure, Architecture & Engineering, Application Development and Maintenance and Technology Transformation across all business lines and support functions for the financial institution group.

Before joining Citibanamex, he served as IBM’s Head of Digital, leading financial companies through the design and implementation of their digital business strategies. Prior to that role, he served as IBM’s Latin America CIO.

He was ranked as top CIO in the region and recognized with a prestigious Innovation award. Before joining IBM in 2000, Tiago enjoyed success as an entrepreneur in e-commerce, pioneering online platforms in Brazil for mobile devices.


Meet Javier Chavez Ruiz

Javier has served as Executive Director of Innovation since June 2016.  Prior to joining the Santander Group, he was the Vice President and Mexico Country Manager for Yellowpepper, a Payment Fintech with presence all over Latin America. Previously, he was Managing Diretor of Business Synergies Initiatives at Grupo BAL, one of the three largest business groups in Mexico. Javier collaborated with the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) as Dean of the Business School. He has vast consulting experience with both Mckinsey and A.T. Kearney.

Javier holds a PhD in Business Economics from Anderson School of Management at UCLA and an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Sciences from Universidad Anahuac. He received The National Actuarial Sciences Award from the President of Mexico. He also published a book with Oxford University Press in collaboration with Mr. Helmut Maucher, CEO and President of the Board of Nestle Worldwide (2002). The book was distributed all over Latin America and Spain.

Demetrio leads Banregio LABS, an experimental laboratory that is part of Banregio. Its aim is to create, identify, and capitalize on new growth opportunities by developing better banking experiences and finding new ways to attract customers to the bank. Demetrio is an active mentor in the Mexican Fintech community and has developed strong relationships with startups that want to operate in the Mexican financial system.

Demetrio was a member of the founding team of Banregio in 1994 and he has had the privilege of working in diverse banking areas over the past 25 years, including IT, commercial, electronic channels, product design, and now Innovation. He has been a speaker on innovation and technology in finance around the globe and holds a Master’s Degree from the Instituto para la Alta Direccion de Empresa (IPADE).

He was Interim Chief Executive Officer of Intercorp Financial Services Inc. He served as General Manager of Banco Internacional del Perú S.A.A.- Interbank from January 2010 to December 2010. He has been the Chairman of Interbank since 1994. He has been the Chairman of InRetail Perú Corp. since January 2011. He has been the Chairman of Intercorp Financial Services Inc. (alternate name Intergroup Financial Services Corp.) since 2007 and Supermercados Peruanos S.A.

Carlos is also co-founder and chairman of Innova Schools, and member of several advisory boards and committees including: Second Curve Partners, Royalty Pharma, The David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard University, Tuck School of Business Board of Overseers, New York’s Museum of Modern Arts (MoMA) Committee for Latin American Acquisitions, MIT’s Corporation Development Committee (a standing committee of the MIT Corporation which helps secure critical financial resources for the Institute), Latin America Conservation Council, and is co-chair for the International Advisory Council of the Americas Society and Council of the Americas.
